Points of intersection between mathematical and process philosophical ideas

Ce que dit l'éditeurThere are many points of intersection between mathematical and philosophical ideas. The synergies between mathematical and process philosophical ideas are exceptionally rich, both historically and speculatively : more precisely, the concepts of continuum, continuity, discreteness, infinity, intuition, arithmetization, geometrization, formalization, perception, and abstraction, stand out. All these concepts have never been systematically perused from the perspective of process philosophical ideas. Hence, the present work should be useful not only for process philosophers, but for mathematicians and philosophers, and also for all those who happen to be interested in the process philosophical approach. |
